IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Althea B.
Salmon
September 30, 1939 – February 4, 2024
Althea B Salmon was born September 30, 1939, to the union of Lawrence Walker and Margaret Fannings and passed away to heavenly peace on February 4, 2024. At a young age, Athea would put her all into Gospel Music. She was an accomplished singer. Althea married and subsequently divorced Amos Lewis Salmon and from this union had two sons. As Althea started her family, she devoted her life to her children, those that she bore and those she loved who may not be directly related. Althea spent many diligent years as a caretaker.
Althea will be greatly missed by all who came to know her. She is preceded in death by her son Keith Lewis Salmon Sr (Janet), and her parents. Althea leaves to mourn, her beloved son Amos Laroy "Roy" Salmon (April), a devoted partner Leroy Brown I, a bonus son Leroy Brown II (Anene), and a host of other family and friends.
The family will be planning a memorial for Althea in the coming weeks. Until then, they are interested in hearing ways you would like to honor Althea. One example is paying for groceries for someone at the Giant Eagle in her memory as she faithfully took the bus every day (until she became ill) to her favorite store. Or maybe you would like to include a song or words from a song. Please include your tributes below.
The family is glad that you all were a part of her life!
Services will be held privately.
