Darryl Turner was born on July 28, 1949 to Dorcas Turner and Otis Triplett in Pittsburgh, PA.

He graduated from Fifth Avenue High School and enlisted in the Navy. He was an electrician by trade. He also worked for Access as a driver and retired from UPMC Shadyside as a custodian.

In earlier years, Darryl was an avid swimmer. He enjoyed going deep sea fishing and loved spending time with family and friends. He was fun, loving, and always had a story to tell or something funny to say. He was very proud of his nieces and nephews and always made time to go to dinner or just spend time with them when they came to town.

On May 16th 2024, Darryl made his peaceful transition at Shadyside Hospital. He was preceded in death by his mother: Dorcas Turner and father: Otis Triplett.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter: Michelle Grant; two sisters: Renee Turner of Rochester, NY and Karen Snyder (Glenn) of Pittsburgh, PA and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friend.

He will be missed by all who came to know him.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at West Funeral Home; Visitation: 10am to 11:30am; Service 11:30am
