E. Blanche Jones was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on August 28, 1929. She was the youngest of four girls born to the late Wilie Jones and Lillie Jo Courts of Reidsville, North Carolina.

E. Blanche attended Fifth Avenu eHigh School where she received her diploma in 1997. She worked as a unit clerk at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital for 25 years. At an early age, Blanche accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was baptized at Macedonia Baptist Church in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was a member of Rodman Street Missionary Baptist Church for many years and was a pianist for the Male Chorus. E. Blanche was a self taught pianist.

E. Blanche was preceded  in death by 3 sisters: Mildred Washington, Orlean Roberts, and Betty Burrell. She had five children: Deborah Denise "Gigi", Philip Andrew Walker, Kevin Pettis Walker, Jonathan Robert Walker, Sr. (Patricia), and John Roderick Walker, Sr. (Johna); 3 adopted sons: Leroy Poston, Mark and Davis Scott; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024 at Rodman Street Missionary Baptist Church , 6111 Rodman Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. Visitation: 9:30am to 11am; Service: 11am; Interment: Allegheny Cemetery.
