JoAnna Bryant Christmas was born on May 11, 1945, in Pittsburgh, Pa. to the late William & Leonia Bryant.

On Friday July 31, 2026, our beloved Joanna transitioned from her earthly home and gained her heavenly wings.

Affectionately known as Sissy, she graduated from Fifth Avenue High School.

JoAnna was baptized at an early age at Corinthian Baptist Church.

To know her was to know that she loved the Motown sound with her favorites being The Temptations & The Four Tops. You would find her watching the Hallmark channel, Murder She Wrote and Andy Griffith, just to name a few. She also loved to travel whenever she could, even hosting trips.

JoAnna was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt & cousin. Her greatest joy was her family. She leaves love, strength, faith & compassion that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

At an early age JoAnna joined the Carmelite Chapter 113 Order of the Eastern Stars. Through her years of service, she achieved the rank of Grand Associate Matron State of Pennsylvania Omega Grand Chapter.

Viewing for JoAnna Christmas is Friday August 7, 2026 from 5-8pm, Eastern Stars service starts at 7pm at West Funeral Home.

Funeral Service is Saturday 11:00 am at West Funeral 2215 Wylie Ave Pittsburgh, Pa. 15219.
