The first of three children, Linda was born to the late Carrie Helen Heath and Samuel W. Heath.  She was raised in the Hill District of Pittsburgh and was a graduate of Schenley High School's class of 1966.  Linda accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the St. Luke Baptist Church.

In 1970, she married James E. Franklin and from this union was blessed with one son, James E. Franklin Jr.  In 1988, she married the love of her life, the late Charles T. Hutcherson (Poochie) and was blessed with two step-sons Kevin and Charles (Ty) Brown.

Linda was employed by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield from 1968 until 1999 retiring from their employ as a Contract and Booklet Specialist.  After her retirement from Highmark she accepted a part-time position as Secretary to Pastor Delano Roosevelt Paige at the Rodman Street Missionary Baptist Church where she had been a faithful member since 1986.  Following Pastor Paige's retirement, she worked as the Administrative Assistant to Pastor Darryl T. Canady until 2013.  In 2015, Linda joined the Macedonia Church of Pittsburgh.

She loved the Lord and enjoyed serving Him as an usher for many years, a Sunday School Teacher for the youth and a member of the Audio and Media Ministry.

Relationships were important to Linda and she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  She loved laughing and enjoyed traveling with her husband Poochie.  Following his death, she traveled with her close friends who referred to themselves as "The Golden Girls."

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Samuel W. and Michael.

Linda made her heavenly transition on February 25, 2024.  She leaves to cherish her memory her children James, Kevin (Alexis), and Ty;  six grandchildren Reuben Demetrius, Kala Rae, Nia Imani, Kevin Jr., and Jamal; three great grandchildren Luna, Lynnix, Lyric; and a host of other relatives and friends.
