Robert Harris, affectionately known as "Raider Bob" and "Fast Bob," passed away on July 24, 2024, at the age of 72. Born on August 4, 1951, to William and Catherine Harris, Robert grew up in the South Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh. He attended 5th Ave School and ultimately earned his GED. He pursued further education at the University of Pittsburgh, studying toward a Bachelor's in Child Psychology for three and a half years before his education was interrupted by pneumonia. Robert was a dedicated coach for local basketball and football teams, sharing his passion and knowledge with countless young athletes. As a lifelong Raiders fan, he proudly embraced the nicknames "Raider Bob" a testament towards his unwavering loyalty and enthusiasm for sports. The love and fun shared at "The House" at 65 Van Braam were among Robert's most cherished memories. From the times Anthony and Bobby would pile 10 to 12 kids into their cars to go out, ensuring no one was left behind, to the unforgettable family trip to Florida that Robert organized, he created countless joyful moments that left a lasting impression on all who experienced them. Robert leaves behind a large and loving family, including his twelve children: Tonya, RoSonya, Robert, Deheja, Akeem, Malcolm, Kimmie, Delrico, Ekeyma, Michael, Deileta, and Lil Robert, including others whom he lovingly considered his own. He was also a proud grandfather to 27 grandchildren and a great-grandfather to three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Deborah Harris, who passed away in 2012, and his siblings Edward, Pauline, Maurice, Kimberly, Cynthia, Catherine, Timothy, and Gerald. Robert's legacy of love, community spirit, and passion for sports will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Calvary Baptist Church , 2629 Wylie Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15219; Visitation: 10am-12pm; Service: 12pm. Interment follows at Greenwood Cemetery , 321 Kittanning Pike, Pittsburgh, PA 15215
